It’s summer now. Little Aria and I check to see how our flowers are growing. First, we water the deck planters, then to the hanging basket. Just down below the deck, is a row of more annual flowers, and at one end, there are blooms marked sunflowers. These blooms are an inch or so high, but the leaves do not look like sunflowers? We’ll see. Aria’s school class planted seeds in little containers one day. We checked on her two tomato plants in Grandpa’s vegetable garden. One lived and the other died. Still, Aria is encouraged to garden. Now, walking across to the Rockery, I check-on my seeding that were brought out after been weathered, then planted. I so much want the little white flowers to make it, the perennials. They are planted in the joining trunks of the crab apple tree. Those Gomphrena are doing just fine, in that odd spot and will catch-up to the surrounding white tiny flowers. Walking by these seedlings, are the packet of Spider plant seeds that were thrown. Not doing so well … it is thick with weeds, I know they are weeds. I have to keep checking as there may a few that are going to make it. We’ll see. One more check, the Flamingo flower seedings, also started in the house. Well, they may make, looking alright, but we need more sunshine. Aria would like to take pictures … but the seedlings have to grow more, much more to get a photo. Aria got a small Polaroid camera for Christmas. The photographs come out to 2 inches by 3 inches. Really good little camera for kids.
